Julie Freeman took our family pictures this year again. We went for the urban look this year...Greg is more of a traditional picture guy, but I loved the backgrounds where she took us. It was a fun place.

Carson's Big Day
Carson started preschool a couple weeks ago. He is quite the poser. He was telling me where to take pictures of him. He actually had some good ideas.
He loves preschool. I think it makes him feel like the older boys....going somewhere and doing something. It has been so nice to have him and Ava home with me. He is a different kid when the older boys aren't around. I don't know if he doesn't feel like he has to compete or what, but he is so pleasant to be around. And those of you who have heard Carson stories, or experienced them first hand...pleasant hasn't been the word that first comes to mind.

End of Summer
We've had such a great summer and I am very sad to see it end. But the kids are all back in school and we're back to our old routine. These are some of the things I am going to miss about summer.
Cool tricks on the trampoline...
Greg ripped his shorts on his second jump...look really close and you can see it. Right in the crotch!
I knew you wanted a closer look at that!!!!
The Baldwin Park pool....
Our backyard playground...
BBQing...
Riding bikes out front. This is Carson's motorcycle face!
Really Dirty FEET!
Cool Bball moves!
Working on Bicycles...
pushing dump trucks...
Cool sunglasses that don't stay on very long! What a waste of money that was!
Jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler underneath.
Our one flower that made it to bloom before Ava ripped it off the plant!
SNOWCONES!!!! I promised the boys at the beginning of the summer that I would buy them snowcones after swim lessons...they reminded me the WHOLE summer until I finally did it the week before school started. I love summer and can't wait for next summer to get here!

Our Little Artist
Does this disturb you? Does it scare you? This was the artistic workings of Hayden. Anyone know any good counselors?

Our Week in Utah
The kids and I drove to Utah to spend a week (which we extended for a few more days) with Steph and Derek and their family. We went to all sorts of places. The kids had such a fun time.
We went to the Hill AFB museum. We had a picnic afterwards. It was a cool place and even cooler b/c it was FREE!!Jason turned 5 during the week we were there, so we had a party for him with all his cousins. The kids decorated the cake and wrapped the presents.
We also went to "This is the Place." I think the moms liked it the best. All the old houses were fun to walk through. They had pony rides and a little petting zoo too.
We went down to Temple Square and watched the Joseph Smith movie. It had been a long time since I had seen it. the kids really liked it! We also went to the Children's museum and walked around the temple grounds.
We took the kids to the park a couple times too...when we felt like they had played too long on the Wii!
Hey...what do you know... Steph and I actually got in one picture together this trip. Nice job Hayden! It was a great vacation with Steph and Kelly (and Derek). Thanks for letting us bombard you for a week and a half. Let's do it again next year!
